Phases of the Dukan Diet Explained
The Dukan Diet is divided into four distinct phases, each with its unique principles and goals. The Attack phase lasts for about 2-7 days and allows only pure protein foods, such as lean meats and dairy. The Cruise phase follows, where dieters alternate between protein-only days and protein-vegetable days until they reach their target weight. The Consolidation phase introduces fruits, whole grains, and limited portions of starchy foods and aims to prevent rebound weight gain. Finally, the Stabilization phase allows for a return to a more normal diet with minimal restrictions but requires adherence to specific habits to maintain the weight loss, such as one pure protein day per week.
